Hello TBC

I've just moved up to start as the Assistant Warden at RSPB Saltholme and wanted to introduce myself on here. Have said hello to a few of you that I've bumped into in the last few days and hope to see and meet a lot more of you over the next few months. I'll be out and about with my red hat on so if you see me wandering about please come and say hello.

All the best and good birding

Good to meet you yesterday Toby...... Can't wait to benefit from the results of you ringing in the cemetery scrub!  PG Tips would be nice:-)

Toby,
Any chance of you and your colleagues giving us an idea of the plans for the reserve in terms of maximising prospective interesting breeding / wintering species that we might expect as you develop the site: Marsh Harrier, Avocet etc etc?  Forgive me if this is all written down somewhere already!

TobyAW

Hi Steve

If I could refer you, and any others interested, to the RSPB website..........

http://www.rspb.org.uk/reserves/guide/s/saltholme/index.asp

.... you'll be able to find information about our future plans here and also read through the blog, which dates back to the 1st of September 2005, to see what's been happening over the years.

David Braithwaite our Site Manager has been giving talks to the Bird Club since he started here and will continue to do so. If you can get to any meetings then I'm sure he'll be able to give you up to date information on the reserve.

Good to meet you to Stew, site looks great so will get to work cutting some rides and your PG Tips request has been noted   ;)

Colin - Have had a wee check and yes, there will be a balcony.

Hi,

nice to hear you on BBC Tees this lunchtime while I was sat on the Creek bridge and good to hear things are still currently on target for an unofficial opening of the visitor centre late January.

If anyone missed it it is avaliable on the BBC website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/tees/ . You just need to search for the "Chris Johnson and Brigid Press" show that started at 11:00am today and Toby's section starts about 1 hour and 20 mins in

Regards,
Jamie
