Saltholme highlights from this afternoon: I missed the long-tailed duck, whic was widely reported by others (apparently it flew from Saltholme Hide ca. 10 minutes before my arrival), but there were plenty of other goodies on a cold, sunny day. Song thrush and siskins seen near the fire station field. A male brambling was visiting the WWP feeding station. Highlights at Paddy's included two red-breasted mergansers. Spoonbill, stonechat, 7 pintail, at least a dozen snipe, a turnstone and 25 dunlin were among the numerous highlights from Saltholme Hide.
